๐Ÿ“–1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Those who preach what must be done to EARN salvation instead of preaching what JESUS did through His atonement on the Cross are always offended at the preaching of the true message of the Cross

๐Ÿ“–1 Corinthians 1:23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumbling block, and unto the Greeks foolishness

✒ To The JEWS 
Do you know the preaching of the Cross is a "Stumbling block” to the JEWS? Because a CRUCIFIED Messiah was not according to their expectations or desires.

✒ To The GENTILES 
Why was the preaching of the Cross "Foolishness" to the GENTILES? They reasoned (the Greeks were known for their intellectualism) that only CRIMINALS were crucified, therefore, how could a CRUCIFIED CRIMINAL have anything to do with anyone's salvation or display any of the wisdom they sought.

What they didn't understand is that JESUS was not a SINNER although He was made SIN.

๐Ÿ“šLet me explain:
๐Ÿ“–2 Corinthians 5:21 For he (GOD) hath MADE HIM (JESUS) to be SIN for us, who KNEW NO SIN; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

             Here are FOUR GREAT TRUTHS:

1⃣ Christ was SINLESS 
(๐Ÿ“–John 8:46; ๐Ÿ“–Heb 4:15; 7:26; ๐Ÿ“–1 Peter 2:22; ๐Ÿ“–1 John 3:5). 

2⃣ God made Him to be SIN 
In other words, God laid the sin of the world on Him (๐Ÿ“–John 1:29) and Christ bore the guilt and penalty of it (๐Ÿ“–Isaiah 53:5). God counted Him as if He were sin. Every sin of man, all that is BRUTAL and PERVERTED and VILE and CORRUPT and every other kind of sin was put to the account of the Holy Son of God (think of it!).

3⃣ This was “FOR US” 
(v 14; ๐Ÿ“– 1 Pet 3:18; ๐Ÿ“–1 John 4:10). 
God put our sins to Christสผs account so that He might not have to leave them in our account. HalleJESUS! 

4⃣ God's purpose in this was that BELIEVERS might become the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in Christ. 
This speaks of
✏ JUSTIFICATION 
(๐Ÿ“–Rom 3:21-26), and of 
✏ UNION WITH CHRIST 
(๐Ÿ“–John 17:20-23; ๐Ÿ“–Rom 6:3-8; ๐Ÿ“–Eph 1:1, 4). 

๐Ÿ“ Christ Himself is the Righteousness of God 
(๐Ÿ“–1 Cor 1:30; ๐Ÿ“–Rom 3:21-24; ๐Ÿ“–Acts 3:14).

Believers are united to Him and so become righteous in Him, and, in God's reckoning, what Christ is before God believers also are.

Now, you can appreciate why JESUS paid for all our sin (nature) & sins (acts) on the Cross because mankind couldn’t pay any of the debt on their own (๐Ÿ“–Rom. 6:23). 

No amount of suffering on man’s part could produce salvation. There is no relationship with God EXCEPT through the blood of JESUS that was shed on the Cross.

๐Ÿ“–Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are MADE NIGH BY THE BLOOD of Christ.

                         ๐Ÿ“ Final Words:

Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, 
Honourable minister of the New Testament, 

Don't be offended by the Cross. Anybody can be, not you. It shouldn't be you. Don't blend in; stand out! 

Don't be moved by those who seem to be making "more money" for preaching everything else minus JESUS (they will one day meet with the Owner of the Church and give account to Him).

๐Ÿ“–Acts 20:24 But NONE OF THESE THINGS MOVE ME, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Keep doing what you are called to do; continue in your profession of making JESUS known to your generation.
